I feel your pain. There are so many Mexican idioms that have no logical meaning in English that I would either have to remove them, add a gigantic glossary somewhere explaining the cultural meaning or pull my teeth. I feel pulling my teeth is the easiest option.

Yes, all of my Ominous Book associated works were initially written in English. To be sincere, I feel my Spanish translation of An Ominous Book is quite rubbish. I seriously need to consider retranslating it.

I feel it would be easy/hard with me if I did Spanish -》Eng direction. Prose would sound more poetic. But if I use slang, that would be an issue because there are too many Spanish words without English equivalents.

I am an odd situation because I confuse languages, so 1st drafts can be a mix of both languages at any given time. Some books are primarily written in Spanish. Fragmented Fates however was first written primarily in English. Some of my unfinished wips will however not have English versions.

On the bright side, looks like ooh amazon (not Cr my mistake) has a Latam dub made in Mexico. Most of the cast are the new generation of upcoming VAs, the VA that did Sailor Mars is playing Jessica Randy. Most like the Mex dub will be real good and faithful to the original.

Amazon Prime used AI to dub a few Korean dramas to Latam Spanish and everyone hated the dub. VAs mocked the company stating dubbing stuff with real humans is already so cheap cuse everyone is paid peanuts that ruining their brand to save 1 dollar made zero sense.
