So I’m feeing conflicted about La Ronde.

They’re going to an independent company to foresee the everyday functions of the park. That on paper, even with EPR as owners, seems great!

The CEO is Kieran Burke, also CEO of Premiere Parks. Those parks have been AWFUL. Wild Waves is closing for a reason.

What will be a big benefit is getting the Lamar contract sitch settled. If we can lessen the dead cap this season for him, that will allow us to get multiple guys, either resign Tyler and use the 2nd round pick on a guard, or another FA.

I see no reason why Enchanted Parks / EPR Properties wouldn’t give their all to this park. More excited for them than St. Louis tbh.

Also excited to see the future of Worlds of Fun. EPR Properties is based in Kansas City. It has been a booming populous, room to grow, a rich history and already has a sturdy foundation.

Worlds of Fun was the big get of the deal & if you ask me? It will be Enchanted’s flagship park moving forward.

Christmas has come early to La Ronde & fans. That was the surprise one out of this deal and now they may have a better chance of seeing actual investment in the park moving forward.

The reputation that’s been developed there is in large part to the lack of investment, hope that changes for them.

Six Flags has also confirmed La Ronde is gone from the company too! Wow, what a huge, HUGE shakeup!

Now the question is what is going to happen with La Ronde? That was a lease agreement w/Montreal & wasn’t in the Enchanted Parks press release.

I do feel like some people are overreacting to this and it does help when you have someone like this join the series for a few starts. With that said, he also needs to get more experience in ARCA at least.

Finally, the leadership team of Enchanted Parks will give us a spotlight to the direction of this potential new chain.

I think there will be multiple former Cedar Fair shareholders & management in the new company. This merger was NOT popular with them. The URL address is also Cedar Fair esque. 8/8

I do want to make 2 more notes. Notice the URL address in the initial post has “EPR Properties?” Guess which two parks that company leases to SF? Darien Lake and Frontier City.

Those are the next two that will leave the company. Easier removal than La Ronde & Montreal’s current lease agreement. 7/8

Either way, this is going to be the biggest piece of news to hit the North American amusement park scene since the merger and it looks as though we don’t have to wait that much longer to see it come to fruition.

Side note, I really hope for those parks, it’s a private company like Herschend. 6/8

Six Flags St. Louis will continue to be the biggest concern from the list. This park wasn’t far off from SFA regarding the lack of investments.

Ride lineup is dated, doesn’t have the best reputation & nearby city has a decreased populous.

If Enchanted Parks struggles, this park is in trouble. 5/8

Is this good news for those parks? Let’s be honest. They weren’t seeing enough investments when they were in it’s separating companies & sure as hell wasn’t seeing investments in the new Six Flags.

Worlds of Fun will be the flagship park & I think will be the biggest beneficiary of this sale. 4/8
