I only recently found out that one of my favourite singers, @kristinhersh.bsky.social covered my favourite Nick Drake song, "Fly" for a compilation in 2014. This is so beautiful and so real. It makes me cry.

I was co-writing a fanzine at the time. Beggars Banquet sent me this free in the post. I played it once and gave it away to a mate who was a fan - I gave it to him before the release date!

Sad to hear the news of the passing of Bud Cort. "Harold And Maude" is my favourite film of all time. I know Vic was a fan as he quoted it in the song "Parade" - and your cover of Cat Stevens' "Trouble" was a beautiful homage. This is a film where all the devotees are kindred spirits. Lotsaluv xxx

Changed mine to Bonnie Tyler's. I kept getting lost in France because it kept telling me to turn around and every now and then it fell apart.

George Orwell's quote - "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears" - is gaining a lot of traffic online. What he didn't predict is that we now have AI - a technology that makes us all doubt the evidence of our eyes and ears. This is the modern world - and I fucking hate it.

As we get older memories fade and part of it is misremembering the date. Like - when did I take my first driving test - 1985 or 1986? Or your first gig - you'd swear it was 1978 but it was 1979. Or when Trump says the election was fixed - he'd swear blind it was 2020 when in fact it was 2024.
