You're not wrong, but I guess I just looked at these as the groups replacement and I made my dog training page its own profile, which is easy to switch between that and my crafty/disabled/etc one. It would be nice to have more accessible groups though, I don't disagree.

Random onset aggression, especially late in life, is very often the first sign of pain, neurological issues, or cognitive issues😔 It's why when I did extreme behavioral modification, I required a vet visit and basic work up between consultation and me taking possession of the dog.

This. I don't care what breed it is, it's not a nanny/adult human replacement. Even our golden retriever would not be left alone with our (nonexistent) children. I cannot grasp what must go through someone's head to think "this animal seems to be on the same level as an adult human" in childcare 😂

Reminder that "pit bulls" were never nanny dogs, and that's *okay*. Perpetuating inaccurate, made up falsehoods does nothing to help the breed as they actually are, it sets them up for failure. Learn about actual genetic breed traits, encourage responsible ownership and training, etc but for the love of God, do not let your dog (of any breed) nanny your children, do not let your children climb on them or pull on them, etc. And no, I will not be arguing about it (: dogsofthreads
