Dear @nytimes.com, the Connections AI bot sucks at guessing the category for our wrong answers. On the one hand it makes me feel superior, but on the other I feel so misunderstood. "Transaction talk"??? Come on. This category is "Last words in the titles of classic plays."

Beaitiful! What's the yarn (if you remember) or blend? I've only knit a few pair of socks & they haven't lasted well.

Trump is one of the few I could believe writes some of his own posts. Probably not this one. This one has less random capitalization & caps lock than usual, though. The PR folks have to learn to write quotes that sound like they could be him. It's an art to write so poorly on purpose!

Trump is literally The Worst & the media is extremely shitty at times. But this specifically is very normal. Politicians, big company CEOs, famous entertainers, etc don't generally write their own press releases or social media posts. That's a PR staff job.

When I lived in rural Japan I couldn't find spaghetti so I just used soba for any Italian-ish pasta I was making. Worked great.

Just be sure to check the ingredients. I've seen a lot of soba in the US that also contains wheat as an ingredient.

Totally agree! It's really frustrating when people mischaracterize DC as being only politicians (not that the OP did that).

I'm in the US near Washington DC. I think Canada geese are the most common for the Mid-Atlantic & northeast US, though I've traveled to other areas as well.

This is pretty accurate. I'd also add that politicians =/= DC, especially the Trump administration. The regular residents of DC & the surrounding suburbs are very diverse & liberal.

And plenty of white people in the US have Scandanavian ancestry. Like, yes, my ancestors were sending boats to Greenland hundreds of years ago. Because part of my family is Danish. We are them.

The whole thing is bonkers, but this line in particular keeps getting me: "it’s only a boat that landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also." Who the F is "we"? Scandanavians colonized Greenland before the US existed.
