The PA periodically announces key rule reminders: "No smoking, baking, or eating are permitted on the trolley." 🤨 It took me WAY too long to realize it was "vaping," not "baking." 😂

My birthday is coming up, so @dbl53x11.bsky.social is in charge of opening and screening packages. Whenever he says, "What the heck is THIS?!" I know it's a birthday gift for meeeeee.

The teenager is sick so I moved one of our air purifiers to his vicinity and cranked it up to turbo. Turns out the air purifier on turbo sounds just like our air fryer, and I've been craving tater tots all day. Pavlov had a point.

I did it! I just got through my last Slack notification and I still have two minutes before I need to leave for the day. I am an amazing genius.

One of today's (many) exciting discoveries: my beloved Bernat Maker yarn dyes beautifully even with my cheapo Rit dye.

For my tapestry loom project, I need a large "fender washer" with a ¼″ hole. They're not readily available in brass, though.

Fortunately, there's similar hardware used in furniture restoration. Unfortunately, the hole is just shy of ¼″. Fortunately, brass is soft and I have a drill and clamps!

We've been watching Wheel of Time season 3 this week, and it is SUCH a joy to my nerdy heart.

Robert Jordan imagined a vibrant, fascinating world but lacked the writing skills to do it justice.

Tomorrow's project will be to weave in ends, stuff it, and get it in the mail!

This was a good idea in theory but, when the yellow was not altered a bit after soaking all night in bleach, I definitely started feeling nervous (did I mention the birthday is almost here?!). Fortunately, the crafty YouTubers pointed me towards Rit Color Remover. One trip to Michaels later...
