And that's fine I was inaccurate on that specific point about Dearborn and Flint but I also know first hand of the growing sentiments from those communities that were not in favor of Biden/Harris because of what was going on in Gaza. And yes so local mayors in that area were infact pro Trump.

I do not believe his voting base is thinking like this at all and embraces everything that's going on and what he is doing which is a problem. We have to start accepting that the country is in a much bigger fight internally than many folks think. They've gone full nationalism.

FC Dallas games are very cool but yeah that is also a beating to go to and I live within 20 mins or so from there. If the Stars end up building their new arena at Willow Bend Mall it's going to be awful trying to navigate that on game day. Hoping they still stay in downtown tho.

Speaking of Plano I grew up there and I can't tell you how many of my classmates had season tickets to the Rangers at that time throughout the 90s. Can't imagine there's many of them in those areas that still buy them unless they resell most of them or just really rich baseball fans.

On top of just prices it's just the commute also. Each way is about an hour (plus tolls) and no option of mass transit. You can get to AAC by train but I'd still have to drive 35-45 minutes to get to the nearest train station. Very much a whip for me but maybe it's also because I'm getting older hah

I just have no desire and interest going to sporting events anymore. Cost is outrageous. Even if you get a cheap ticket you still gotta pay for parking after in my case driving an hour or so and all food and drinks inside the park are so expensive.

I'm still someone that still embraces and likes to wear cologne everyday too. I feel that's something that American men (I think mostly white) have kind of gone away from doing in recent years.

My wife was born there and goes there often and she's never mentioned it or noticed this I guess. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout tho when I make it out there hah.

Absolutely. I would however love to see basic decency and raw empathy for all humans from these players comments especially in these times. It's not political in doing that and that's where things have gone sideways IMO. You can say a lot without needing to be direct or mention politicians by name.

But in reality all of these athletes are signed up with professional PR and communications firms that literally tells and trains them what to say and how so that everything is very even keel and vanilla so no side gets irate. So these comments are not at all surprising.

Definitely does not work like that. But I think if the guys just said that in the adrenaline & heat of the moment things got carried away and they regret the actions and situation that was disparaging the women's team etc I think it probably would have gone a little farther.

I think as long as Kidd is around there's a 0% possibility he would come back at some point.
