@focus-entmt.com the parry nerf was unnecessary. You have messed with over a hundred hours of muscle memory. The new adrenaline/block mechanic is neat but very clunky and adrenaline doesn't last long enough if you need to reposition in hostile situations.

Ignis FFXV the writing for him was excellent. Dedicated, moral, and always level headed.

I loved FFXV. The journey and camaraderie felt so genuine. The combat system felt so good once you got a feel for it. My only complaint was the world felt unfinished. Knowing now the development hell that happened during its creation it makes me sad for what could have been.

#Bloodborne is a master class in atmosphere. The character design, world, story, and music are all in lock step. Everything is unsettling even the backdrop feels like it's pressing down on your character. Very few games have been this successful in consistent tone.

#Bloodborne is a game that absolutely nails atmosphere. Right from the beginning you feel lost, overwhelmed, confused, and not in control of your situation.

The theme is kept consistent throughout the story and even gets more intense in the last sections. 4/X

Even the MCU messes this up it's why Love and Thunder didn't do as well. The tone and script were at odds with each other.

Gorr felt like he was in a completely different movie. So it creates a a discordant feeling that the audience will struggle with. 3/X

Shifting tone can be done bringing light hearted jokes or elements into a more ominous or foreboding atmosphere. But it has to be done very carefully otherwise the shift feels silly and is immersion breaking.

Too many games try and pull off what the MCU does. 2/X
