Israeli author David Grossman says his country is committing genocide in Gaza Writer says for many years he has refused to use word but now must ‘with immense pain and with a broken heart’

Grossman is one of the most important living Israeli writers.

His son died in the 2006 Lebanon war, 2 days after Grossman, AB Yehoshua & Amos Oz called for a ceasefire.

"Of course I am grieving, but my pain is greater than my anger," he said 4 mos later, calling for a Pal state.

Wow: 1/4 of US senators now oppose more American weapons to Israel.

Context: until 9 months ago Congress had *never* voted on blocking weapons to Israel.

New Yorkers, please feel free to call Gillibrand and Schumer and demand and explanation for why they did not vote for Sanders' resolution to block arms transfers to Israel.

Same goes for anyone else who doesn't see your senators on this list.

Worth remembering that before the extremist take over of our government the consensus was the biggest terror threat to the US came from domestic right wing extremists. So this is, um, worrisome.

Amy Klobuchar is one of the 26 Democratic senators who just voted to stop arming Israel. Two weeks ago, she was in a bipartisan photo with war criminal Netanyahu.
