Give this about 6 months and there will be a total ban on any adult content that is explicit. Why? Because BlueSky like every other place is reading the room and seeing where operating in the United States is going: authoritarian regimes don’t like adult content.

Games are not groceries. Games are stories in a library, experiences in our lives. They're memories we share collectively together.
If people can't preserve that, the medium will eventually die out altogether as an expense no one can afford.

If these companies genuinely want to argue "well, we can't let you do that." Well, enjoy scratching together a functional copy of your previous works in 50 years when copying games isn't legal and all our games are up and gone 2 years after launch because the game uninstalls automatically.

There's the positive capitalist take (not being negative); companies want to re-release a game in a decade or two for new consoles/platforms that don't exist yet? Let *us* actually preserve the games we love.
Let us actually own what we buy. "Piracy" of dead game platforms comes with that, ofc.

My partner does push me sometimes when she notices, but I usually just don’t engage with others I’d like to.

I do push myself more these days, but I know my friends and family are fine with it. Online isn’t too hard since typing things out isn’t as invasive as conversations in person.
Whenever I’m at events/cons, I do still struggle a lot though.

It’s fun getting older and realizing most of your depressive episodes stem from not wanting to interrupt anyone else’s lives because your own is perceived negatively internally, and talking with someone “would just kill their mood,” so you just internalize everything forever.

There's a roadway nearby that is 30mph and 25mph, but because it's built with long straight ways without stops or lights, people blaze past me (even if I'm going 35 in a 25) pushing easily into the 50s. These are residential areas too.
Roads just aren't done well here in Maryland.

The strangest thing to me is how much a bunch of randomized fake speeding cameras would actually slow down drivers more than the real ones do. Everyone in the DMV area speeds on highways like I-495 or I-270, unreasonably so (75+ on a 55 is average). It's a mindset problem of the drivers.

Man, I really missed listening to the soundtrack for Nadesico. Crazy how much that show was about nostalgic themes, but itself is also so steeped in it that it's easy to long for it.
Wish it wasn't such a hidden gem to the modern anime fanbase.
