I haven’t posted in a long time and it’s not a bird. Finally the water was clear enough to see the Blue Tangs.

Brown Boobies are common here but hard to photograph as they are usually flying close to the oceans surface. I had my underwater camera and was snorkeling when I spotted some at the end of the pier. One was coming in for a landing but the others wouldn’t move because they were watching me. #birds

I was at the beach the other day and this Pearly-eyed Thrasher was going to town eating the coconut meat. #birds

Haven’t posted in a while. This Pearly eyed Thrasher and myself are on a stand off. He’s determined to get a bug trapped in the slider track but I’m in his way. #birds

I love Yellow Crowned Night Herons. This guy is a regular early in the morning at the beach. #birds

Pearly eyed Thrasher

Grey Kingbirds chatter a lot when going after insects on the wing. You see them perched a lot ready to launch off for a tasty morsel.#birds

Usually this time of year we can see shorebirds transiting through. It was slim pickings this morning with just two Spotted Sandpipers #birds

This Yellow crowned Night Heron was looking like an antenna until I got close enough to see what it was. #birds

Was just there in September. Crystal clear water and healthy coral with every color imaginable.

I threw some banana peels out in the bush and this Pearly eyed Thrasher looked back at me as if to say finally. #birds

Pearly eyed Thrashers are very cheeky birds. If I leave the side door open and leave the room they will hop in and snatch a bite off my bananas on the counter. This one was watching from the wire! #birds

No consequences the police never showed up. My husband filed a report the next day but it was too late!

I was in Boston walking on the boardwalk by the bay when I was nailed from behind by a guy on an electric stand up scooter. Never heard a thing and spent weeks in a hospital there. Took almost a year to heal from all the breaks. I have PTSD now when I see one.

Green throated Caribs get really territorial around hummingbird feeders. I’ve seen this attack Bananaquits if they get too close to his feed source.

Cattle Egrets love eating bugs off of domestic animals like cows and horses. #birds

The Bananaquits chatter every morning in the palm trees to get us to fill up the sugar so they can have breakfast.#birds
