It's fascinating how all the people who insist it's just a phase also insist on aggressively repressing and crushing that phase rather than just letting it play out.

But why is anyone supposed to respect that? As usual, whenever Labourites attempt these 'well, this thing you're all yelling at me for is part of the Labour tradition' arguments, it only begs the question of 'actually, how worthwhile is the Labour tradition in 2026?'

"We hope the Government will act on all these sources of hormones to protect vulnerable groups of children and young adults from bad actors."

While Labour continues its anti-trans agenda by denying medical assistance to trans young people, it will never be enough for certain "gender critical" ideologues. They won't be satisfied until no trans individuals can transition at all.

There are "clocky" cisgender women who get sired without make-up, and there are "passing" trans women who get ma'amed no matter what!

The womanly experience is a spectrum that is wide and diverse, and "passing" plays into that but so to do general beauty standards & whether you fit into them!

Think part of this is understanding the difference between "not passing" & "not always fitting societal beauty standards" - bc these are separate things often conflated!

Particularly bc "not always meeting beauty standards" is actually an experience that connects the vast majority of women!

Genuinely I’m so tired of this soft soaping re “social conservatism” like it’s some anodyne political difference over tax or energy policy.

If you want to crackdown on refugees, or limit the rights of women and queer people, then we are not allies.
