Narcissists are unfit to lead. They see power as an opportunity to seize, not a responsibility to serve.

Great leaders blend confidence with humility and put their missions above their egos.

If EVERYONE got an equal amount, which they won’t, as it will mostly go to the largest acre producers, the amount would cover less than one month of feed for our cow herd. And every farmer ABSOLUTELY knows this… so either they aren’t actually suffering or they are just being willfully dense.

The purpose of negative emotions is not to cause misery. It’s to prevent mistakes.

Outrage is a signal to speak up. Anxiety is a prompt to prepare. Guilt is a reminder to repair. Disappointment is a cue to persist.

Pain reveals principles. Where we hurt is a clue to what we value.

This energy.

It takes curiosity to learn. It takes courage to unlearn.

Learning requires the humility to admit what you don't know today. Unlearning requires the integrity to admit that you were wrong yesterday.

Learning is how you evolve. Unlearning is how you keep up as the world evolves.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

The "he's not gonna listen to her" reactions are missing many points. Lots of other people are also hearing it. Lots of people can see him hearing it, then weigh what she's said with what he'll do. Lots of people can see her refusal to surrender these ancient teachings to the latest face of empire

It is wild how upset “religious” people are that a longstanding and well respected Bishop is taking the message of mercy and the marginalized from the teachings of Christ and sharing it in a sermon and a prayer with the leaders of the free world who have invoked the name of God repeatedly.
