Glory Nights: From Wankdorf to Wembley. I don’t give a damn for the same old played out scenes. Don’t confirm to formulas. Just a bloke.

30.04.2025 19:27 — 👍 9 🔁 3 💬 6 📌 1The Oval - taken Sunday 27 April 2025, Surrey v Somerset, Day 3.
Blistering 32 mins after lunch at The Oval yesterday, when Surrey took 5 wickets, with stumps flying and brilliant catches.
Set-them up for an excellent win before the football even kicked-off.
Iraloa and Glasner are both very good managers who have transformed their teams within 18 months without heavy investment, and also both tactically pragmatic while always wanting to play attacking football, as well as treating their fanbase with respect.
26.04.2025 18:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The signs of a good football manager can be seen within 18 months of when they took the job.
Proper manager, Glasner.
Liberal/left insistence that everything the Trump regime does is some kind of cunning evil plan is just the mirror of MAGA-world's belief it's all a genius plan.
Neither are prepared to accept the obvious: that they don't know what they're doing.
Inviting Corbyn to a philosophy festival is like inviting a hamster to run in the Grand National.
21.04.2025 19:20 — 👍 7 🔁 1 💬 2 📌 0Battling performance & top result.
Players put bodies on the line, we were finally pragmatic with long goal-kicks & sticking on an extra CB + we had extra running with Tel replacing Son.
Despite the tactical flaws meaning the ball bypassed them, Solanke & Maddison won it.
Up the Spurs.

16.04.2025 19:36 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0More gaslighting from Postecoglou, saying it’s rare for Spurs to get into the last 4 of a cup.
I make it at least 26 SFs in the last 45 seasons, inc winning both in Europe; more than most.
And this season’s EL, with expanded CL & no drop downs, weaker than any League Cup.

Jon Champion using the word “boffins” in commentary.

Truss extract text: "These tendencies were replicated across the West - epitomised by Canada's Mark Carney, the ultimate Davos creature, sliding from failure at the Bank of England to becoming the unelected Prime Minister of Canada"
Quite something for Truss to call Carney "unelected PM of Canada"
Truss used to talk of 'her mandate' from a party leadership vote. Mark Carney also won party leader vote but then General Election called 9 days after he became PM.
28/4 election will take place when he has been PM 45 days!
🤣

This clown has in the bottom six, outplayed for spells in pretty much every game and frauds telling you it would be the same under any manager…
If you don’t think they could easily hire a better coach than the one we have now, let’s agree to disagree.

Anyone insisting it will be the same under any manager, is gaslighting you.
He is terrible. And it has been obvious for months.

It is a very easy fix to get in a competent coach, which should have happened in December.
Enic will sell, but not when there isn’t maximum sale price, which won’t happen while we are playing shit football, not attracting or retaining quality players etc.
A good coach is bound to come first.
There aren’t any.
13.04.2025 14:48 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0All those making excuses for Postecoglou, the worst coach Spurs have had for 45+ years - who as well as being tactically clueless, has made every senior player worse while gaslighting fans - should be embarrassed in not seeing what was blatantly obvious less than 18 months into his reign.

Secretary Bessent has handled a very difficult situation extremely well. Appears he finally got through to Trump and wrestled the tariff wheel away from Navarro. Countering China’s unfair trade practices makes sense, but should be done with backing of allies. 👏 🇺🇸

Congress has the power to pull our economy back from the brink. We need a handful of Republicans to not bend a knee to Trump and instead stand up for the American people.
Lucky it is a home game against the worst team to play in the top flight for over 30 years tomorrow.
Although if we don’t win, his gaslighting post-match will reach new levels.
After yesterday’s presser giving his views on mobile phones, maybe will hear why tarrifs are a good thing on Wed.
