On the subject of imports: Pulseman. You can get a Switch and NSO for your whole dang family and still come about $100 ahead vs. buying an original Mega Drive copy. And you don't have to worry about possibly getting a bootleg. Source: me. I bought Pulseman in 2006.

I also named my Gastly Pierre because why not. Yuki is a Pancham (hopefully a Pangoro in the near future). My Lando is a Greninja and Sebastian is a Meganium. Fernando is a Gallade and Carlos is a Flareon with the move Disarming Voice (iykyk)

I'm curious as to which Pokémon bears each driver's name and your thought process. I have an Ampharos named Valtteri because of the big fluffy mullet his Mega Evolution gets.

So there are other ways to play those. A lot of folks are like "original hardware or bust" but I'd rather not bust my budget lol. We've played a good chunk of the Genesis library over the years, so if there's a certain game you're curious about, let us know!

Happy to help! While the retro games market is still something of a dumpster fire, there's still a lot of good stuff out there for not a lot of dough. The big RPGs (Phantasy Star II-IV, Shining in the Darkness, Shining Force I-II, Beyond Oasis) are on compilations like Sega Genesis Classics... 1/2
