BREAKING: New Texas Public Opinion Research data shows the TX Democratic U.S. Senate primary is statistically TIED with just 5 weeks to go before the primary election:
π΅ Crockett: 38%
π΅ Talarico: 37%
βͺ Undecided: 21%
Without this, we risk losing any influence in future elections and redistricting.
But with it, we can not only defeat this redistricting β we can reshape Texas politics for the better.
The time to fight is now.

There is a path forward, but we have to act.
We must:
β
Speak plainly and urgently about what the GOP is doing.
β
Build the bench of candidates and staff to jump into newly created districts.
β
And build an infrastructure that can maintain pressure year-around.
Republicans are scared of losing their majority in 2026 because their agenda is unpopular.
Now is the time for Democrats to face the moment head on.
If we want to defeat GOP attacks, we need bold, strategic coordination β starting now.
Texas Republicans are trying to redraw the political map β again.
But this time, theyβre doing it mid-decade, with no new census numbers, just raw political desperation.
My editorial with @expressnews.com outlines why this is a threat and what Democrats must do to fight back.
We canβt keep calling disasters βunexpectedβ when they keep happening.
Texans deserve emergency plans that actually work β and leaders who show up before itβs too late.

Texans are tired of hearing the same excuses from leadership when disasters turn deadly.
The power grid collapses, wildfires rage, flooding devastates communities β and no one takes responsibility.
Extreme weather is our reality, and itβs time we demand real, proactive solutions.
Redrawing congressional maps five years early isnβt normal.
But Trump pressured Abbott to add redistricting to the special session β so he did.
Theyβre changing the rules in the middle of the game, and Texans will pay the price.
Donald Trump is pressuring Greg Abbott to call a special session to redraw Texasβs congressional map.
The goal: add more seats to protect against a blue wave in 2026.
But Republicans are split on whether it helps them or opens more doors for Democrats.
Texas is heading into one of its most high-stakes election cycles in years.
Trumpβs back, Cornyn and Paxton are at war, and the GOP is in chaos.
Democrats have a real shot to show theyβre ready to govern if they can pull together a strong, unified slate. #txlege #2026midterms
The Texas legislative session is over, and Republicans delivered another wave of unpopular, extremist policies.
From school vouchers to THC bans, we're seeing what happens when our leaders only listen to their billionaire donors.
Texans deserve a government that works for them.
This sessionβs biggest wins passed because Democrats focused on real issues β water, housing, and energy.
If it were up to Republicans, we wouldβve spent 140 days on furries, classroom posters, and pseudoscience.
One party governed. The other chased headlines.
Oversight only works when those in power want to be held accountable.
After the General Investigations Committee exposed corruption tied to Abbott appointees, lawmakers stripped its power.
In Texas, if you hold Republicans accountable, you get shut down.
The authors of Abundance argue that red states build more housing β and they do.
But even their own examples show itβs blue cities like Austin and Houston leading the way, not Republican lawmakers.
In Texas, itβs often local Democrats lowering housing costs. #txlege #politics
As we near the last week of session, hundreds of bills are depending on action in the Senate.
That puts one lawmaker at the center of it all: Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
As President of the Senate, the rest of the session is in his hands.
Last Friday at midnight was the deadline for second reading in the Texas House.
Hundreds of bills were left unread, dead before ever reaching the floor.
Who chose which bills made the cut?
The Calendars Committee, the most powerful committee you might not have heard of.
Texas lawmakers just spent 10+ hours debating displaying the 10 Commandments in schools.
We polled voters β it ranked last on their priority list.
Our polling at Texas Public Opinion Research tells the story: Texans want action on healthcare, data security, and expanding career paths.
The bottom line: Texas isnβt just an opportunity β itβs a necessity.
Dems can invest now or play catch-up later.
But the road to the White House? It runs through Texas.

We canβt treat Texas like a one-cycle bet.
Dems need a real, multi-cycle strategy β like what worked in AZ, GA, & VA. Candidate recruitment. Research-informed messaging. Staff training. Serious investment.
Thatβs how we win β and John Cornyn agrees:
2026 could be a turning point.
If Ken Paxton runs for Senate, Texas Republicans will be stuck with a scandal-ridden, deeply unpopular candidate at the top of the ticket.
Thatβs an opening. But only if weβre ready.
2024 showed both the challenge and the opportunity. Colin Allred outperformed Kamala Harris ββ especially in the Rio Grande Valley.
That means Latino voters are persuadable.
But only if we show up.
And only if there's major investment into the state.
Hereβs why Texas is different:
If Dems win Texas, Republicans cannot win the White House. Full stop.
Texas has 40 electoral votes now β likely 44 after 2030.
When Democrats win Texas, thatβs the ballgame.
In 2020, Georgia and Arizona were a key part of Democratsβ victory.
But even if we win there again, they donβt close the gap.
We need a new path to the presidency.
And Texas is the only state big enough to change the game.
The states that carried Dems for years β MI, PA & WI β are losing electoral votes.
By 2032, even if we win them all, it still wonβt be enough for 270.
The math is shifting. And @democrats.org need to shift with it.
All roads to the White House go through Texas.
For decades, Democrats could win the presidency with the βblue wall.β But the map is changing.
My editorial in the @washingtonpost.com outlines why Texas isnβt just an opportunity for Democrats β itβs a necessity.
Through the Agave Fund and Texas Public Opinion Research, I'm focused on holding current statewide elected officials accountable.
Texans deserve leadership that fights for them every day.
I'm grateful for the chance to keep pushing Texas forward β together.
During my race, it became clear that we aren't going to flip Texas overnight β or even in 1 election cycle.
We need a long-term strategy, consistent investment, and a strong bench.
Thatβs why I founded the Agave Democratic Infrastructure Fund in 2024. www.agavefund.org
I decided to run for Railroad Commission in 2022 to fix our grid, fight corporate greed, and modernize Texasβ energy systems.
Though the election didn't go our way, Iβm deeply grateful for everyone who stood with me and inspired to keep fighting for a stronger, fairer, more resilient Texas.
In 2021, the Texas grid failed. Hundreds of Texans died. Thousands spent weeks without power β freezing in their homes β only to be hit with astronomic electric bills afterwards.
