Bugger. My sister's cancer was usually a form of liver cancer, but first presented as breast cancer, and four years later then spread throughout her body - bones, liver etc.. Extremely rare, an average of only 1 woman a year in Victoria was diagnosed with it. Not genetic thankfully for my niece.

The work and actions of Prof Richard Scolyer - our magnificent Australian of the Year - gives me hope, that more non-invasive and harmful cancer treatments he is receiving, are also more effective. That cancer patients can have quality of life, whilst receiving effective treatments.

Sorry to hear that. My sister had a rare, aggressive cancer that was diagnosed as terminal. The chemo killed her (heart failure) before the cancer did, and I really hope that doesn't happen anymore. My sister died in 1998. You have all my best wishes for recovery, remission and healing.
