Clay laughs. "Key words there are try and act."

Leigh snorts. "Speak for yourselves. I'm perfectly well behaved."

Rosie's phone buzzes with a message

"of course, my love. We try to at least act like well behaved adult men." I laugh

I bounce River as I move to the bathroom doorway. "I promise, we'll be on our best behaviour during the will reading. I make no promises for family dinner tonight."

I laugh. "You know, I don't think that threat was serious."

I laugh. "Oh, why not? Milkshakes are yummy."

Clay laughs hard. "She'd have to jiggle a lot more for that."

Clay snorts. "Yeah, or they find a nice sunny spot and sleep all day."

Leigh laughs. "Listen here, puppy. No comments about my napping habits."

I hand her River as Leigh picks up Ryker to burp him. "Yes, they're only six months. But that one is gonna be the one raiding the fridge in the middle of the night all through his life. Like Deac. I guarantee it."

Clay laughs. "Deac isn't even here and his eating habits are catching strays."

I hum. "They seem to be pretty patient right now. If you're feeling up to a full nursing session now, we can save the bottles for while we're out this afternoon and for the middle of the night feeding that some people..." I bounce River. "...insist on."

When I finish first, I scoop up the boys who are waiting patiently & bounce them a little as I walk around the room. "Oh, I know...you can't wait to get on the floor & explore the new place."

Leigh snorts. "Oh, come on. They want food first. Then exploration."

I take a deep breath. “That’s a long trip. You going alone?”

I get home and pack before dropping the kids with Dutch and heading to the airport

I smile and nod, getting to my feet. “Okay. I’ll meet you there.” I kiss her cheek and leave the house, heading home

I run my fingers through her hair and kiss her temple

“It makes sense that you drew it too. Thinking about the island and everything.” -she looked surprised that it was the cliff.-

I hum and look at it. “It’s pretty.”

I run my fingers through her hair. "What is it, baby?"

I laugh a bit. "Oh...I understand that well."

I nod. "Does he usually not answer his phone when he's being grumpy?"
