In math, this issue is critical. Falling behind early, often as early as 3rd grade, means students rarely catch up. No matter how engaging or innovative a teaching approach may seem, if the system allows students to get off track and never re-enter the learning pipeline, we are failing them. 3/3

If all teaching methods were as effective as claimed, classroom performance would align with state, national, and international assessmentsβ€”but it doesn’t. Grade inflation is real, and a few strong years in that 13yr journey don’t guarantee after high school success. 2/3
