you're certainly right on that, it's definitely good to see that we've been making a lot of progress in that aspect. And honestly it wouldn't surprise me if this whole fiasco inspired someone to create a better alternative to Animate, or maybe even updates to already existing software.

it is simply incredible, it's almost like Adobe has been trying to break a record on just how evil it can get. I'm really hoping for a future where most things have an open source alternative so we can stop relying on these companies, it can't come soon enough.

Insane how Adobe can just get away with nuking Animate. Such an iconic program gone just like that. This is why subscription models suck and always will. We need more open source and free options like Blender.
