Experiment: I gave year 11 an open book past exam paper to complete in class, results are really useful. It tells me who is underperforming because they lack the skills in exam practice and who is underperforming because they haven't done revision! Also highlighted to students where they miss notes!

I've just been putting together a booklet for year 8 on Coasts which uses QR codes to take them to Hemsby, we are planning to do it alongside optional Brighton (where we live) fieldwork. The logistics of a whole year group are too much...!πŸ₯Ή
Can send you what I've done, would love feedback!

I think one of the barriers that I have seen (having worked in very deprived schools) is that parents hear 'geography leads you to do almost any job' but actually hear 'it leads you to nothing'. Students don't have the privilege of risking 'nothing in particular'. Lots of communication needed!
