Developers and users of RIOT, the friendly OS for the #IoT, will meet for talks, demos, networking, hacking, and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the RIOT summit from September 3rd to 5th in Dresden.

Our first release this year is out! The 2025.01 release of RIOT OS brings support for the same51-curiosity-nano board, documentation for our community processes, and many ports to our new netdev API introduced in the 2022.10 release.

RIOT OS 2024.10, codenamed FlexTape, has been released today.
This version of the friendly OS for the #IoT brings enhancements around signed firmware updates, several security fixes, and dozens of other improvements.

The last day of the #RIOTSummit is used for the hackathon. We've learned a bit about time in the presentation, so why not work on clocks(here: #pinetime, #banglej2)

Our first talks on the #RIOTSummit revolve around proving what happens inside #IoT devices, and finding what is on a device even if it does not tell.

Just one more night: The RIOT summit starts tomorrow at Universität Wien. Two days, 14 presenters, discussion, workshop and breakout sessions, and networking (both technical and social).

The RIOT devroom at #FrOSCon is shutting down, but our team is still roaming the event. It was great talking to so many people, and having more than 20 participants in two workshop sessions.

Registration for the RIOT summit is open. Join us from September 5th in Vienna. Participation is free, but registration at https://summit.riot-os.org/2024/ is required.
We also have a first set of speakers and talks listed, ranging from hardware and boot topics to social and privacy aspects.

With @FrOSCon upcoming, we are scheduling our devroom's program: We will have a general RIOT OS introduction tutorial on Saturday, one on #embedded #RustLang development, as well as at least a short presentation on an upcoming #CoAP stack.
