A photo of my modified Big Zane, with all three of his torso panels set at nice angles from his power core. Each of his arms ends in a hexagonal, three-pronged claw, as seen on the Dragons Rising Season 3 poster, although these claws are much too big in proportion to the show's— nevertheless, they're about as compact as you can get with LEGO pieces. His left arm is flexed, holding a light blue Dragon Energy Core aloft in its claw.

This photo reveals that the three-fingered claws from the previous photo are technically "tools" that are held in Zane's actual hands, represented by a simple clip on each arm.

His three torso panels are all folded in to be flush with his power core for a smoother, less disrupted surface, while each of his arms is bent in "chicken-dance" fashion, elbows sticking outwards and hands in armpits. This unites his upper and fore-arms into one smooth panel on each side, serving as the pectoral plating of the larger Combiner Mech. His legs are bent backwards to create the mech's muscular but shapely waist.

I think I can call this the final iteration until S3P1, at least shape-wise— I may play with colors a little more. There was no way to fit those grippers into the transformation, so I've left his hands as small clips and turned the tri-claws into "Toa tools" to beat the partsforming allegations.
