There’s plenty of literary evidence that awful people being confronted with the monster they’ve become is enough to cause them to crash out

“What if I’m already enough as I am?”
“What if I trust myself to figure this out in my own time?”
“What if I don’t have to do it perfectly to do it well?”

I struggle with affirmations. They feel like gaslighting myself and the sarcastic voice in my head likes to mock me.

So I switched it up- I turned my affirmations into questions and it let me engage my curiosity rather than judgement.
