When I ask #editing clients where they got my name, it's NEVER my own ads & efforts, it's ALWAYS through recommendations & acknowledgements.
I've bounced off of every adaptation of Pratchett's work I've ever tried to watch, but I think Troll Bridge captures the tone and the story perfectly. Beautifully done.

Relevant lately.

Did you see what's going on at the library? They think they're so cool.

Any economists out there tracking the size of books as an indicator of economic stability?
Big #books mean more bang for your buck, and it seems to me that big books are very much back in vogue lately.

18.02.2026 12:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A few years back, it was revealed that Russia's misinformation strategy was to promote the extreme views of both sides -- to hype the right and divide the left. Now, with Bluesky's stringent blocking tools easily curtailing right-wing morons, I suspect they're leaning the other way for division.

I heard the #Olympics was a good time to watch sports you don't usually see that often, and I was not disappointed.

I totally agree, on both fronts. I was writing a little FB post today about my own 1966 copy of the Hobbit, and realized I should fact-check one of the pictures I was posting.

Bilbo, wielding a sword, sitting next to Gollum, who looks vaguely fishlike and metallic, with a crazed expression on his face. From the Bulgarian edition of the Hobbit: https://tolkien.com.pl/hobbit/collection/hobbit-bulgarian-1975-1st.php#photo
Bulgarian Bilbo is a little more demure with Bulgarian Gollum, probably because Bulgarian Gollum is approaching him to play the riddle game at 2AM at a gas station and Bilbo just wants to buy a Gatorade and a bag of chips and go home and sleep it off, ya know.

I do enjoy that one as well. I came across this site today that has all Hobbit illustrations, including Tove Jansson's. I started taking a look b/c Tolkien had to revise for the 2nd edition when he didn't have a description of Gollum and illustrations got wild.

My wife isn't a huge gamer, but she LOVED getting to play as Jesse, who's a mature professional woman that doesn't look like she was designed with 14YO nude-mod gamers in mind.
She's so bummed it's Dylan for the sequel that she probably won't bother playing.
I'm not saying that's not NOT what I don't do for not making much money anyway.
But I did also have a couple days in university where I got sick of reading the books I was supposed to and stayed home that day and read the books that I wanted to read.
Bleh, I have so many money words to read today when it would be really nice to kick back and just enjoy some non-money words. Also nachos.
