It's also an argument for decent government/civics classes in HS. I had one in the 90s, but who knows what (if anything) kids are hearing now.

You're in a great place, and it can really help, but as yr folks say, it's a last-ditch thing (and recovery is hellish). Glad you can avoid it for now.

Good for you for holding off on sinus surgery. I had some on only 1 doc's advice years ago and has it had repercussions. Postpone that mess as long as you can and enjoy yr nasal sprays!

People do it in the NE (New England), at least in RI. Big regional variation, though, so you'll get a lot of people who have never been here and will say no. Ketchup (note the US English spelling) is much more usual, though fancy places will give you aioli for frites. A real linguist's answer!
