I meant it helps the pain. I took paracetamol and ibuprofen daily for about four months. N=1 anyway!

They may make you feel a bit icky while you are doing them so be warned but I found they helped. Lots of ibuprofen too (works better than the gel as the muscle is deep in your butt cheek and that’s where the pressure actually is)

My sympathies. I had sciatica of the bum (piriformis rather than disc) for months. The exercises can help.
