I feel like we typically see these sorts of completely outraged opinions from federal judges a couple times a year across the whole country, maybe a little more often in last few years. Now, in cases stemming from Trump's immigration crackdown, judges are ringing the alarm bell several times a week.

As Rep. Jayapal says, our reporting has found that these aren’t isolated incidents. Last October, we tallied more than 170 cases of U.S. citizens detained by immigration agents.

Glad to see these cases tossed out. But as anyone who's been through a criminal case knows, just being charged and dealing with the resuliting legal process is a punishment in and of itself.
