Found an instance of Versinaeans rather than Versineans in my listen, which is why I ALWAYS listen to the whole book using Word's Speak feature. Time consuming but I catch little things like this that way.

Running my final check on The Silent Paths of Night before printing and audiobook recording. I am so proud of this book. I really think I leveled up here. Hope y'all agree. I can't wait to hold the hardcover.

If you can't break, then just a few sentences as connecting tissue. However, thatmight also be a good place the POV character to consider and react to what just happened, a quieter place to reflect on and process the bigger moment.

That's a weak spot for me too. I see it as connecting dots and sometimes the next dot is really far away. You can always leave a placeholder to make a transition later or if it's natural do a scene/chapter break. Transitions are often boring so if there's nothing meaningful to say there, just break.

You don't have to write in a linear fashion. Sometimes I'll have a snippet or scene and I won't know where it goes until I am well into the process.

I am pondering but a few initial thoughts: you have to believe in it, even if that means being a bit delusional. It's never too late to write, to pick it up. It's also so crucial to never let anyone or any rejection take it from you.
