Code mods have opened up so much you could likely recreate every addition from 2024 in 2011 which kind of shows how little 2024 even adds to the table to begin with.
It just kind of sucks that most people won't be able to play some of these mods now.
Gens 2024 is definitely the more accessible version now but sadly without the expansive mod support that 2011 has to me it will always be a vastly inferior version.

10.08.2025 21:17 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I do think it will be important to clarify what exactly this supports when it's finished because code modding as become such a major part of gens and most people I've seen discussing this seem to be completely unaware that it's not possible to support those.
10.08.2025 21:17 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yeah there was some discussion about it in the server and I realized it wouldn't be feasible any other way.

Code mods have become a big part of the modding scene and many people are ignorant to how things really work and assume you're supporting those too.
I think it could be worth exploring some other options to make it easier for people to get all gens mods working again.
It would mean you don't need two entire copies of the same game to use both versions.
And may open the door for greater support considering code mods won't work in 2024 gens.
Would it be feasible to make it automatically do something like this for old gens too?
Since the formats are so similar it could be very useful to have it load the new assets in old gens assuming there would be no major issues with that.
Rayman's grappling hook has seen a lot more polish. You can now charge it up, giving it a similar feel to his telescopic fist from other Rayman games.
Charging it up will increase the hook's range, making grappling onto Rabbids and hook spots easier and more flexible.
In RRR:Reburrowed, the world changes as you progress.
This notably includes the music!
See how one of Mark Griskey's original songs gets transformed in a remix by Stuart Woolley!

Figured out a way to make SXSG load legacy gens instead.
If you prefer the old release for mods and want it alongside shadow gens then this might be useful.
For those new, the project aims to re-imagine the adventure-platformer concept for Rayman Raving Rabbids, where our hero Rayman goes up against an army of mad bunnies plotting to invade the glade of dreams with their devious machinery!
