Silver linings - if youโre going to pick up a ~6-8 week injury, just before the October international break isnโt a bad time to do itโฆ

Love the FPL, love the Arsenal. 5 x top 1.5k finishes and they were all luck.

13.10.2025 13:31 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Waiting a week might be the best choice regardless, but just wanted to say that the calculation isnโt quite that simple because you are effectively โbuyingโ a transfer with your 4 points.
So you get the Arsenal player this week, but can also use the transfer on something else in future.
How much do you have in total for the 3 positions?
12.10.2025 09:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Better than Tsushima?
11.10.2025 09:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Villa, Spurs, City away and Brighton at home in the first 5 last season!
09.10.2025 20:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Lovely stuff - great work!
09.10.2025 16:41 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think it was probably also โfineโ to say Almiron and Lingard were the best players in the league for their purple patches
I think Semenyo is a lot better than both FWIW.
Yeah the point is that heโs getting these shouts off the back of a similar hot streak to those two.
I rate Semenyo! Is he the best player in the league? Not even remotely close.
I think heโs comfortably better than both of those players but itโs amazing what a hot finishing streak can do for your rep
08.10.2025 10:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Heโs the best player in the league in the same way Jesse Lingard and Miguel Almiron were previously the best players in the league
08.10.2025 10:25 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0In fairness, it has taken him 3 full seasons and the worst spell of his managerial career to start doing that
05.10.2025 16:00 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Spurs with the โChampions of Europeโ chant.
Says a lot
And in the case of Fulham and West Ham the season before as well in fairness.
01.10.2025 12:06 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah sorry I was just looking at the 4 in the OP.
Agree our expectations should be high for the next 6. I just find it really strange how our fans still put Liverpool and City on a pedestal. City have lost at home to spurs and away to Brighton already this season. Liverpool just lost 2 in a row.
Nobody should expect that tbh
As an example - have a look at those exact fixtures last season for Liverpool and City
Puts them in a probable scrap for top 8 and makes it less likely they can rest and rotate too much
30.09.2025 21:05 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Who plays up front when Isak breaks down?
30.09.2025 21:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Arsenal fan piping up here - but also see Saliba foul on Pedro at BHA away last year. Goes for a header, touches the ball, pen anyway. No overturn.
Expecting Webb on TV telling us VAR shouldnโt be getting involved
THE FUCKING ARSENAL
28.09.2025 17:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Wildcard!
27.09.2025 10:14 โ ๐ 15 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Agree Max might be a special case, but he does have our very best player in front of him at present.
26.09.2025 07:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm always a little torn when it comes to the likes of Ethan, MLS, soon to be Max because theyโre obviously getting minutes and are going to get minutes with us but competition is so fierce.
Being around the squad is obviously massive for them in itself, but whatโs your take on loans for them?
Get Saka off right now thatโs enough
24.09.2025 20:10 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโd say if the game is tied/close after 70ish minutes it could be a pretty big deal. Not sure Isak has more than that in him yet
23.09.2025 21:01 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Absolutely fucking bizarre take
I would love to see what people said about City/Arsenal if we went to the Etihad, got a lead, and defended for our lives for 80 mins whilst taking all our attackers off for defenders.
Wait, we did it with 10 men for 45 last season and got slated for it. Oh well.
This is so, so good. Can identify with every word. Media and fan narratives are insane at present.
22.09.2025 20:18 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Perhaps the most exasperating part of Michael Cox's latest yelling at clouds is its conclusion praising Liverpool, in whose most recent match relevant to the context of his discussion put up 9 shots for 0.5 xG at home against an opponent missing several key players.
22.09.2025 16:31 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Relative to previous seasons (especially last season) our ability to finish games strong is the thing Iโm most excited about in this one.
We were 1-0 down vs PSG last year and our attacking bench options were Nwaneri, Kabia, Sterling, and *checks notes* Kieran Tierney ๐คฃ
I do think there is some mileage in the thought that some players are better than others at cashing in a โfreshnessโ advantage. Martinelli comes to mind very quickly.
22.09.2025 13:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Foden off for Ake and Haaland off for Nico Gonzalez the end is surely nigh
