The fox smiled, a chuckle escaping his lips at the feeling of his fur being ruffled.

His eyes widened in shock yet adoration. "Woah-! You really got his looks down! Nobody will suspect a thing."

The fox smiled, walking alongside the shapeshifter.

"Alright, Ash! We got some waffles to try!"

The fox held the shapeshifter's hand, guiding them down a familiar path and towards the nearest waffle shop.

His eyes lit up, almost as though the stars of the night sky were placed in his orbs.

"I owe Sonic by a long shot.. he's the one that helped me see that my twin-tails are truly unique,"

He smiled, averting his gaze towards the other fox.

"Nine, that's a cool name! Judging by your words I assume Sonic told you about me.. heh. But just in case, my name's Tails. It's nice to meet you, Nine!"
