House eyes cuts to DC’s autonomy as local budget fix gathers dust - Roll Call Congress is “doing things that no one has asked for,” one advocate says, as lawmakers tee up three bills that would overturn D.C. decisions.

When Congress - apparently unintentionally - cut DC's budget by $1.1B in March, the Senate passed a fix. Trump said he wanted the House to pass it "immediately". Speaker Johnson said it just a matter of scheduling.

Today, the House will vote on 2 other DC-related bills, but not the budget fix.
