I think I'm still processing the shock of what I did to myself. I just had my 3rd bout of anxiety sweats and dry heaves today. I'm doing breathing exercises to try and get a grip. This too shall pass. Thank you so much for your kindness. ❤️

It was self inflicted. I spoke to the oral surgeon's office and booked 1st available to consult which unfortunately isn't until 10/31 but I got on the wait-list for cancellations. It reinforced that this is going to be a long, slow process.

The dentist carefully asked about my injury to make sure it wasn't domestic violence. My upper lip is bruised and swollen so it made sense. I respect it and am glad they're willing to ask hard questions.

Learning to eat without touching my front teeth is a process. I'm eating my yogurt with a plastic spoon because they're more forgiving. I've never had a dental issue before. I've never even had a cavity. I will get through it, it all sounds terrifying right now but it feels good having a plan. ❤️
