What’s funny about subbing and rejections, IMO, is that you kinda get used to them and it’s comforting in a way to get the rejection emails. When you stop subbing for whatever reason, and it’s quiet in your inbox, it feels weird. Lonely.

I think it’s the any attention is good attention phenomena.

Starting season 4 of Stranger Things tonight. It’s been so much fun re-watching it all with the 12yo… who finally decided they wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

Ordered an inflatable kiddie pool for the teens and I tell you what—I’ve never seen 3 more excited goobers in my life. You’d think I bought them solid gold cell phones.

Once the current internet crashes and burns, a new system will rise up, like a phoenix from the ashes 🐦‍🔥 My best guess is it takes 10-15 years for it to happen. The elementary aged kids of today will be the ones to build a new computer and internet system to live AI free as adults.

That’s exactly what I was going to say. They will build one in every state and just start rounding people up. Or putting them on trains and sending them to other camps. WTF is this.

I think some people have trouble seeing fascism as anything other than 1940s Germany.

But I think 'people going to a comic convention needing to have a plan in case the government's goons show up to disappear people' is a pretty good demonstration of what it can look like in 2025.
