Every Member of Congress needs to understand that the upcoming War Powers Resolution vote will be a defining vote — just like the Iraq War vote that defined a generation of politicians.

Yeah, my grandfather (long gone) worked on supplies for General Electric during WWII. He was horrified that we let the rail system decline and decay in the US. SO many birds of "convenience" and just-in-time coming home to roost. Whatever happened to long-term planning?

The acts of defiance can be big or small. Painting over a bigoted piece of graffiti. Running a youth club for refugees in an area that mostly loathes them. Wearing a rainbow flag in an anti-queer neighbourhood.
These acts all accumulate towards something better, I have seen that in action.

This is a devastating story. I don’t understand why there are still people who think this has potential for “partnership” in schools. It’s like saying cocaine should be adopted for optimizing learning, or leeches are partners for medical practice.
