What makes a female character truly meaningful in games?
For International Women’s Day, it’s worth looking beyond visibility and focusing on depth. 💜
Great characters aren’t defined by strength alone, but by complexity, vulnerability, contradictions, and growth. 🎮

I had to school a student on how bad google is on medical matters today.
Them: [Thing] doesn't exist.
Me: *produces direct citation*
Me: Yeah, it does.
Them: Ooohh...it didn't show up on my google search.
Me: There's your problem right there.
(Thing=fairly common diagnosis.)

The original expression was "tomber dans les pâmes" - "pâmer" being an archaic French verb which meant "to faint". At this point, nothing to do with apples whatsoever.
But over time misuse gave way to convention and "pâmes" became "pommes", the accepted spelling 🍎

Every time a woman runs for president I hear that she’s too emotional and unstable to make wartime decisions, unlike the men in charge who make really reasonable decisions like bombing kids to death, starting water wars, and poisoning the entire planet

Happy International Women's Day!
Remember, when in doubt, do as Stagecoach Mary Fields did, and either headbutt, shoot it, set it on fire, or let your horses trample it.

Markwayne Mullin’s views on the value of life stop at the birth canal.
“In Oklahoma, we’re not going to be killing babies.”
Oklahoma ranks near the bottom in maternal care, infant mortality, healthcare, and education. For Markwayne, once the baby is born, they’re on their own.

A group of small humans (3 to 6?) run out of a church.
One decides they're going to play a game.
Taking charge, bellowing the rules.
Moments later they're all chasing after each other.

No one knows! But they're having fun! (1)
I'll never forget my mom telling me about how my MAGA nephew burst into the house early in 2024, absolutely terrified, 100% convinced that Biden was going to draft him.

But unfortunately he already understands that.

Well, I can't help but think of my eldest brother who was thoroughly *traumatized* by the Lion King because (spoiler): "The dad died because of his son. He disobeyed and his dad died because of him."
That was a hard conversation according to my mom.
idk I’ve seen a bajillion kids movies where the kids parents die & let me tell you, having a convo with my kid about how anyone can die at any time & it doesn’t matter if they’re someone’s mom or dad is way harder than having a convo about how sometimes someone has two dads or whatever. And yet

I need every single male artist that follows me to read this. It's not very long. You need to bear witness to this shit. You have to see it with your own eyes because you never will in your everyday life.
I'm serious, read it all please
