My Putney constituents are among the more than 680,000 people living beneath the flight path of Heathrow, where there are no legal noise limits.
So I welcome the Transport Secretaryβs acknowledgement of noise in the review of the ANPS. We now need full community consultation.π
Finally, thank you to Wes Streeting for attending the debate.
I am glad that the Health Secretary has ordered the rapid review of maternity services so that lessons learned lead to changes that are built into the system.
Too many families face inconsistent maternity care. We need accountability and enforced national standards.
No parent should be told βeverything is fineβ when it is not.

During #BabyLossAwarenessWeek, I spoke in Parliament about my constituents Sherena and Jack and their daughter Maia.
Maiaβs death was preventable, and caused by outdated, unsafe practices at Kingston Hospital and growth monitoring that diverged from national standards.
Earlier this week, I was grateful to receive reassurance from the Minister that the successful IB programme will continue to be supported. β
This is very important, especially for Ashcroft Academy in Putney.

Both of these measures are designed to improve traffic flow, and Iβll keep pushing TfL to agree to make some key further changes on Putney High Street without delay.

Next week, new traffic control chips will be installed at Putney Bridge Junction to alter the phasing of the lights.
TfL have also agreed to temporarily suspend a bus stop that is causing tail backs and bus delays on Lower Richmond Road.

I am deeply concerned by the horrific attack at an Ahmadi Muslim mosque in Rabwah.
Once again worshippers at the Fazl Mosque in Southfields fear for the safety of their loved ones in Pakistan.
Iβve written to the Foreign Secretary π
Homelessness and rough sleeping devastate lives, including in my constituency of Putney.
The governmentβs recent injection of Β£84m to tackle it, including Β£250k+ for Wandsworth, is a welcome and promising step forward.π

Changes to roads in Fulham are one of many reasons for the current Putney congestion.
Lots of people are writing to me in support of this petition against even more changes, and I share their concerns.

In the wake of the heinous terrorist attack at Heaton Park Synagogue, I know many in Londonβs Jewish community will be feeling afraid. My thoughts are with the families of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz at this terrible time. Places of worship should be sanctuaries and safe havens for all. No one should feel scared to attend their synagogue, church, mosque, gurdwara or temple. As we head into the weekend, there will be increased police presence in and around synagogues across the capital. Our Jewish communities must be able to live and worship free from the fear of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or violence. The fact they cannot do so is utterly unacceptable. It is clear that there is much more to do to rid our society of the poison of antisemitism, and we must redouble our efforts to stamp out this vile hatred wherever it rears its ugly head. Now, more than ever, Londoners from all communities must stand together, show allyship to our Jewish friends and neighbours, and be united in our rejection of hatred. MAYOR OF LONDON, SADIQ KHAN
