Right? So over it. I just look at those people like they said something horribly taboo and let shame and social norms work their magic. Like yeah, they believe their bs, but the millions of years of humans relying on cooperation and social connection go so much harder than a few decades of Fox News.

I've started doing this thing where I just talk to everyone else like they're a communist and the vast majority of people roll with it because we're agreeing so hard on everything.

That is a very a precious memory for me, and I feel such deep connection and comfort knowing it's out there with Mother Earth, settled at the roots of a beech tree named Jane. //

We'd been naming all the trees, so I asked if we could call this one "Jane". She said she'd be delighted and honoured if we did.
