Not that I give them an excuse. Just stop making them.
11.11.2025 13:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why is this a snag in a series where he meets Blofeld for the first time ever in 2 consecutive movies; rejuvenates 15 years between San Francisco & Gibraltar, stays the same age for 6 years between Isthmus City and the bungee jump in Russia, & had his 1st assignment 43 years AFTER his 2nd one?!!
11.11.2025 13:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I could happily live in a world without any more new Bond, new Dr Who, new Shakespeare productions, Star Wars spin offs/films, or Sherlock Holmes adaptationsβ¦& Iβve enjoyed all of them, in part or in whole, in the past.

07.11.2025 09:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Even now, I still remember the audience bursting into laughter on Kenβs βI am Victor Von Frankenstein!β and that was that. Two hours of scoffs & groans followed - it was relentlessly unforgiving π©π
24.10.2025 18:48 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Love Humbug.
But seriously underwhelmed by the later Jose Chung & Postmodern Prometheus, when the deconstruction became glib.
Humbug, Die Hand⦠& Clyde Bruckman hold the line nicely.
We did this one too ππ

No one was nuts enough to go Bowie to hear soul music or New Wave or drum & bass - thatβs clearly not what he was about. It was just him adopting a mutant/hybrid vocab for his weirdo pop π
25.09.2025 14:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ack, double-negative typo π
25.09.2025 14:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs all in a long tradition of Bowie albums. Like, Young Americans does NOT sound like Philly Soul. And Low certainly doesnβt NOT sound like Kraftwerk. But, again, the hacks made so many lazy assumptions to get copy out
25.09.2025 14:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Earthling doesnβt sound like any other 90s dance/rock, beyond one cheeky reference to Prodigyβs Firestarter.
Outside only sounds like NIN fleetingly. Bowieβs vocals are cool/remote, Trentβs passionate/frenzied. The music is more ambient & jazz influenced than industrial.
The hacks had to hack.
What were the odds on an 18-year-old seeing a cover and taking a punt and then getting a fecking revelation?! I just remember seeing it out of the corner of my eye βis that a hand in peacock feathers - what is that? Scott Walker sounds like a cool name.β Thatβs all it took π
25.09.2025 14:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My first listens to both these were incredible. My then-girlfriend had Outside on cassette & I was just staggered by it when she played it.
Tilt I bought purely cos I noticed the cover art. I actually wept playing it on the bus home on my discman.
Too kind π
