That's true!

One observation on my own channel over the last 18 months or so streaming, I can get new people into stream quite easily, but maintaining a community is not a strength of mine.

Seems to come to others quite naturally.

Same there is that guilt thing but I'm still making YouTube videos to fill the void rn

The sun being out definitely a factor lol back on Friday more than likely just enjoyed having a few weeks off

Took a wee break myself it's actually quite nice not having to stream lol

Took a break from Twitch for a few weeks and tbh it's been quite nice not streaming. Intoxicating almost, kinda hard to work up the motivation to get back at it (lazy brain kicking in)

Harsh truth is other streamers shouldn't really be your target audience.

Plus YouTube forces you to not be lazy like it's actually beneficial to make a thumbnail and you also get storage for your VODs twitch deleted then after a period.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on the differences and advantages/disadvantages of streaming on YouTube compared to Twitch?

YouTube nerds anyone else notice a sudden rush of impressions after 2-3 days of posting a video. Not sure why this happens.

I say NO!

Trying to edit VODs into something entertaining is waaaay too hard.

I've seen some people make it work though, but yeah too hard with stream chat.

Same dude, same.

At this point I'm pretty sure most "streamer drama" is manufactured outrage or something.

When did it stop being about gaming content 🤷‍♂️

The only creators seemingly making actual gaming content are small streamers.

About 4pm before the fear kicks in for me.

✅ Drive to supermarket
✅ Park car
✅ Get shopping
❌ Forget where I parked

When I started streaming I used to latch onto any chatter who came in, trying to keep the conversation going, hoping they would stay.

Realised pretty quickly that's how you turn people off and push them away.

Been gaming since the 80's so naturally throw video game references into casual conversations, often met with a big fat 👀 wtf is this guy talking about.

'The promised land' for me streaming wise I think would be around 30-40 engaged viewers consistently.

The number keeps shifting though, I used to think I'd be happy with 10.

I guess at some point you have to be content with what you have 🤷‍♂️
