Many businesses lay off all their contractors in order to boost profits, but few complain about that. Technology replaces humans all the time. Robots build cars, but you still drive. Duolingo still has a mission of providing free (no one has to buy one of their plans to learn) education.

It seems notable that my local food co-op, a wonderful small grocery has had a supply of reasonably priced eggs this entire time. Why? They have a longstanding relationship with a local non-factory-farm supplier. Big Grocery has been pushing on the supplier to divert eggs to them for higher prices.

My Dad got the vaccine, but still got the flu, and came down with pneumonia. It probably would have been worse without the vaccine. Glad you're feeling at least somewhat better!
