every day, i think about how we never really talk about the real underlying causes of social issues - the evolutionary and psychological factors/behaviors that have led to these broken, unsustainable systems.

if we go too deep, the whole house of cards might come tumbling down.

the intersection of my pretty good little life of friends, kindness, and creativity with the hellscape of the crumbling american empire is, at the very least, an emotional rollercoaster.

i still look sometimes, and still do some things on FB because birthdays and band stuff memories and whatever... aaaaaand i still want a place to share things i make, but blech it all just feels like noise now.

the more i learn about brains, history, power, etc., the more frustrating it is to participate in society.

oh right, bluesky is a thing.

i think maybe i'm just drifting further and further away from social media after damn near 20 years of use.

i kinda forgot this space exists.

never enough time or energy.

Kyuss is exactly what i needed this afternoon.

i'm always a little curious if anyone has a crush on me...

not because i'm looking, but because writers and musicians are desperate for approval.

even though i'm gigging and making music with bands, it feels like a period of low creative output for me.

but i've also been trying to embrace some rest and downtime and just experiencing life... and there are only so many hours in the day.

maybe that just means the next things are incubating.

A friend just asked me what I do to stay hopeful and I told him one of my favorite strategies…I stay hopeful by remembering that no one has any idea what the fuck is going to happen, so as long as we don’t know, we gotta do what we can.
