He shall judge between the nations
and shall arbitrate for many peoples.
They shall beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation;
neither shall they learn war any more.
Come, let us walk
in the light of the Lord!
—Isaiah 2

In my life, Lord, be glorified, be glorified;
in my life, Lord, be glorified today.
In your church, Lord, be glorified, be glorified;
in your church, Lord, be glorified today.
In your world, Lord, be glorified, be glorified;
in your world, Lord, be glorified today.

God of the nations, grant wisdom to leaders, judges and mediators.
Cast out words of hate and transform them into words for building up community.
Remake implements of war to sow peace.
God of grace,
hear our prayer.

The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it, for he has founded it on the seas
and established it on the rivers.

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place?
Those who have clean hands & pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false
& do not swear deceitfully.
They will receive blessing from the Lord.
Such is the company of those who seek him.
—Psalm 24

Young girls were sexually abused by a Duluth church member. They were told to forgive and forget.
In Minnesota, leaders of an Old Apostolic Lutheran Church community enabled a child abuser by telling his victims that once the sins were “washed away,” they could never speak of them again.
Clint Massie’s abuse was an open secret among the congregation: Mothers warned their daughters to stay away from him, according to victims. Church leaders sent him to a therapist who specialized in sex offender treatment.
None of the preachers reported Massie’s crimes to police.

But when he heard this, he became sad, for he was very rich. Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

At least seven faith leaders arrested at Broadview ICE facility protest
(RNS) — 'I've got bruises all over my body,' the Rev. Michael Woolf, who was thrown to the ground and arrested by police, told RNS.
“…at least 7 of those arrested were faith leaders from Presbyterian, #Lutheran, Baptist, UU, & Jewish traditions. The DHS X feed mocked the protest participants in a post: “Womp womp, cry all you want. These criminal illegal aliens aren’t getting released.” religionnews.com/2025/11/15/a...

Once Christians tie their faith to partisan politics they eventually have to defend the indefensible.
Pledge all your allegiance to Jesus Christ and let the politicians fend for themselves.

The trivialization of women exists as an ongoing, malevolent belittling: whatever is consistently and without opposition declared to be irrelevant – like so much that women experience– loses its language; perhaps it may echo for a while within a person, but it creates no response.

People Can Text with Jesus on A Controversial New App. How Does It Work?
Yes, there's now an app for that.
Don’t.
"Well obviously you're talking to an AI chatbot," the app's creator said, adding that the bots are "pretending to be Jesus or any of the apostles."

the world and those who live in it.
Let the floods clap their hands;

to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness
and the peoples with equity.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
break forth into joyous song and sing praises.
Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,
with the lyre and the sound of melody.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord.
