Haddon Sundblom 1899 - 1976
"Sunny" paints Santa for Coca-Cola for over 30 years. He stops, and in 1972 Hefner hires him to do a parody cover for Playboy. Sundblom is 72 at the time and has not lost a beat!

Hello TK! Not that I could possibly remember every cover but this had escaped my memory, and it's such a great one. Also odd that I got 46; and 52 (stapled), both very close to this one.

Did not have one, but do remember them. I had a Marantz 330 receiver and 6100 turntable. Recently sold the 330, which still works, as does the turntable.

He was a local fixture here in Madison. Was very lucky to meet him Sept 2022 at his exhibit, Enigma: The Prints of David Lynch, at UW Tandem Press.

We were all playing electric instruments. It was easy and cheap in 1970. And...it still works. 👍
