Australia needs a dedicated Federal Minister for Children. There is currently no single minister tasked with coordinating efforts, listening to children, or ensuring accountability for outcomes.
This must change.

Victorian Parliament has released its final report from the Inquiry into capturing data on people using family violence in Victoria.
Without better data, we cannot design the interventions & systems needed to stop the use of violence.

While this Federal Budget offers some welcome initiatives, it falls short of delivering the comprehensive whole of spectrum funding that is needed from prevention to early intervention, response and through to recovery & healing.
