⭕️ December 2025 monthly briefing by the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society documents the latest in Israel’s “campaign of extermination” inside Israel’s prison and military detention system, currently holding more than 9,300 Palestinian prisoners. Based on dozens of lawyer visits, the report notes Israel has institutionalized torture, starvation, and medical neglect as policy since the start of the Gaza genocide, treating prisons and military camps as extensions of that war. Prisoners are beaten daily, denied food and treatment, frozen through winter, completely isolated from families and lawyers, and deliberately humiliated. Women, children, the sick, political leaders, and Palestinian civilians abducted from Gaza are all subjected to the this system. 🔴Per December 2025 Israel Prison Service data provided to the Israeli human rights group HaMoked, of the 9,183 Palestinians in Israeli custody, only 1,254 are sentenced prisoners. The total includes 3,359 remand detainees, 3,350 held in administrative detention without charge or trial, and 1,220 classified as “unlawful combatants.” All suffering systematic torture and abuse, according to the UN and various human rights groups. ⭕️ Palestinian prisoners rights groups this week cited a growing figure. They state that more than 9,300 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons, not including unknown hundreds or thousands detained in Israeli army camps.
