#adhd cleaning hack - usually i like to body double with a youtube video, but my computer needs to be charged, so instead i’ve been narrating everything i’m doing and my thought process out loud like i’m recording a video and it’s been surprisingly effective and enjoyable

as someone who is very much not a Sports Person, every spring I get surprisingly invested in #NHLplayoffs

#adhd culture is doing the absolute bare minimum all week, then getting an unfathomable amount of things done—that don’t necessarily make any logical sense—in the 6 hours before bed on sunday night

If you haven’t already disconnected from the Google-verse, I have been enjoying DuckDuckGo for web browsing and ProtonMail for email. Slowly transferring all my important email to Proton. Keeping Gmail for less important stuff.

We should also make sure there is plenty of whimsy. The bastards hate whimsy. Just don’t understand it. Goes right over their heads and doesn’t include them. And they haaaate that.

How accomplishing things happens in ADHD time:

-I work 8 hours and only accomplish seemingly 30 minutes of work

-I work 8 hours and cobble together a presentable workday of varying, unpredictable intervals

-I somehow accomplish 40 hours in 6 hours

crossing all my little fingers and toes that we get approved for this great apartment 🤞🤞🤞

my one “all or nothing” task is putting away laundry bc i hate it so much i will NOT restart if i stop.

i record a timelapse vid of myself and put youtube on my laptop so i’m not distracted by tech before it’s finished. then i watch the timelapse vid as a treat and say “look how fast that was!” 😂🙃

This idea has been a game changer for my house cleaning. I get bored with one thing, start another, toodle back to the first one, add a third, etc. Until finally everything is a bit cleaner than before. Much better for me to make broad progress than have one thing done “perfect”

I will never, ever get over this.

its the best sweetener for coffee IMO!! especially the dark/robust grade syrup.

supposedly good for a year in the pantry unopened and then 6-12 months in the fridge if open. freezer, nearly indefinitely.

i’ve had this jug for nearly 6 months unopened and all was well when i cracked it.

yeah i think the gallon is going to prove extremely impractical for everyday pouring (though i surprised myself this morning when pouring it into my coffee and all went smoothly) so i’ll probably decant half and freeze it so it keeps longer and pours easier!

Maple syrup isn’t local to me but the guy who produced this jug travels to my region from Vermont every year to sell it! Love to buy direct from producers so it was a no brainer for me. I like it more than honey but if I ever need or want that my neighbor sells hers

too sick to go to friendsgiving, but still made a raw vegan chocolate pudding pie with almond date crust. incredibly easy to make, very decadent, and friendly for almost any diet so it’s a fave regular potluck dessert! even better topped with raspberries.
