Religion is a tool, and like all tools it can be used for good and bad purposes. It can be used to control and manipulate like you reference but it can also be used to liberate and enrich. It's about personal religion vs organized religion, like Lizzo alludes to.

So it seems likely that Google's new quantum computing chip Willow might have just proven the existence of Parallel Universes and could actually be tapping into those universes (it's still being hotly debated in the scientific community of course as any new discovery is).
