We used to be rather a classy bunch, why are we so vulgar these days?

He does not look like a man who would appreciate a fried egg on his mixed grill

The Daily Mail’s front page there, celebrating a England footballer of Ghanaian descent while also telling migrants to get out of England. Truly, you couldn’t make their shit up.

You'll never be forgotten, Joey! Forever a Liverpool legend...
Came from Wrexham in 1975, made 100 first-team appearances, helped Liverpool FC win the First Division Cup twice as well as 2 European Cups, then returned to Wrexham in 1978.

Rest in peace Joey JonesπŸ’”

I’ve never been that clear what he actually is. Is he a chef, a food critic, a presenter, a food writer or a bit of all four and his glumness stems from him never really finding his place in life other than shouting the same phrases over and over again while standing next to a bald problematic man

I still have nightmares about the battered deep fried hamburger I had in Nottingham in 1993. Comfortably the worst thing I have ever eaten

Diogo Jota 1996-2025

Wrote this about Diogo Jota and Andre Silva

Obviously I never met Diogo Jota. But you sing somebody's name week in, week out in the stands, you watch them do what they do, and you develop a relationship of a kind. At least with what they stand for there.

Diogo has given us so many moments of joy. It's so so tragic.

His poor family.

And if we could keep the number of mysterious strangers emerging from his past and not everyone needing to be related to everyone to a minimum as well that would be a big help.

As part of my new book on the Kennedy assassination, I’m writing a β€œWhere were you?” chapter. I’m after interesting stories from people about what they were doing when they heard about the assassination. Reply here or DM me.

I realise most of you are ineligible, due to age, so RTs appreciated.

Best not to get into it, they probably carry spreadsheets around with them for situations like this

I’m almost certain I will, I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word against it which makes it all the more bizarre that I’ve never seen it!

I had to sign up for an account on there this morning to access some information (long non-relevant story). I’ve followed two non political accounts but as soon as I looked on the bloody awful For You tab it was full of right wing commentators mouthing off. That’s the default position of twitter

Virgil Van Dijk and Alan Hansen hold the Premier League trophy in front of the Kop at Anfield.

Virgil Van Dijk and Alan Hansen hold the Premier League trophy in front of the Kop at Anfield.

This is right up there with moments I will hold dear from supporting this club.

The two greatest defenders to ever play for our club in front of the Kop.

Jubilation but, above all, the utmost of mutual respect.

Surely Rob Beckett and/or Romesh Ranganathan, I think it’s been nearly a week since they had a new series on TV
